Employee Training and Development

Izhora Pipe Mill provides a continuous training system ensuring that its employees have all professional skills and competences they need.  Izhora Pipe Mill provides the following training:

·         basic skills and advanced training;

·         training in occupational health and safety and support of sites controlled by Rostekhnadzor (Federal Process, Environmental and Nuclear Supervision Agency);

·         special training and certification of  employees involved in product quality control;

·         special training in quality management and OHSE management.

Often training is delivered by managers and specialists of ITZ, and highly skilled workers provide instructions for industrial training. The company has implemented a mentoring system as well as professional skills contests and “Foreman School” program. In 2014, over 90 employees were trained under this program.

Senior and middle managers participate in corporate seminars and training for management skills development provided by PAO Severstal.

Currently, the company employs about 1,100 people. In 2013, training was provided for 997 employees, in 2014,  901 employees were involved in all types of training.
