AO Izhora Pipe Mill (ITZ), located in Izhora Plants Industrial Zone in Kolpinsky District of St. Petersburg, produces straight seam electric welded pipes with external and internal coatings. External diameter of pipes ranges between 508 and 1420 mm, and maximum pipe length is 18.3 m. Annual production volume is up to 600 thousand tonnes.
Plant History:
Izhora Pipe Mill was built in 2006 for approximately $600 million. President of Russia Vladimir Putin attended the inaugural launch event on July 14.
Competitive Advantages:
The biggest competitive advantage of Izhora Pipe Mill is its continuous production process from slabs to strips to finished large diameter pipes.
Slabs manufactured at Cherepovets Steel Mill of PAO Severstal are delivered to Wide Mill 5000 of Cherepovets Steel Mill Roll Plant 3 (located in the same industrial zone in Kolpinsky District of St. Petersburg). Then slabs are processed into strips and sent to an ERW plant, which produces large diameter pipes (LDP) from strips.
Key Projects:
Izhora Pipe Mill supplied pipes for the second phase of the East Siberia Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline in 2011 under contract with PAO Transneft. In 2012 Izhora Pipe Mill supplied production for the second phase of the “Polar Region – Purpe” pipeline and repair and maintenance needs.
PAO Gazprom used Izhora Pipe Pill products to build the second line of Nord
Stream, first and second lines
Innovative Technologies:
