March 05, 2018

Izhora pipe mill (IPM, is included into PAO Severstal) became the winner of tenders on delivery of pipes of big diameter for PAO Gazprom for a total amount about 165 thousand tons. The products are intended for development of gas transmission capacities of the UGSS in the Northwest region.

“The victory in tenders became a one more confirmation of  reliability of IPM as supplier and partner and also high-quality of products of  the entity. For the plant it is not only an opportunity to load production capacities, but also an incentive for further improvement and development for a requirements satisfaction of the key client,” — the CEO of Izhora pipe mill Dmitry Pokrovsky comments.

Within the order the entity will make pipes with a diameter of 1420 mm from steel of a class of durability K60 and wall from 18,7 to 32 mm thick with an internal and external anticorrosive covering.

“Izhora pipe mill is a part of the largest vertically integrated company Severstal that allows the entity to be completely provided with “own” metal rolling from the rolling mill 5000 located on one industrial platform with IPM in St. Petersburg. Besides, the unity of a technological chain in the company gives the chance to issue completely domestic product and  to control quality on all repartitions, realizing the import substitution program. It is the most important competitive advantage of the entity,” — the marketing and sales director of IPM Alexander Semyonov comments.

The products will be shipped to the customer in 2018 — 2019  according to the required delivery schedule.
