Izhora pipe plant successfully pass the recertification audit of a quality management system on compliance to requirements of the international standard API (American Petroleum Institute) Specification Q1 and confirmed an opportunity to issue products according to the API 5L specification.

The certificate issued to the entity following the results of the audit confirms the high level of a quality management system which extends to all fabrication stages of pipes of big diameter. The results of  check also provided the license renewal granting IPM the right to use the monogram of API in production.

“The compliance to requirements of API is an indicator of  business competitiveness, readiness to constantly develop and improve. The  certification confirms the high quality level of products and also the possibility of the entity to apply for participation not only in domestic, but  also international projects,” — the CEO of IPM Dmitry Pokrovsky comments.

Within the audit, API visiting committee executed the check of core operating divisions and auxiliary services of the plant, carried out  the assessment of the business processes providing observance of the high quality standards.

The recertification audit on observance of requirements of  the API standard is performed once in three years. At the same time, the  effectiveness of the certificate and license is annually confirmed by  supervising audit.
